The NX-102 Optical Express Hemostasis Analyzer is a portable battery-powered device.
Operating Principle
- The device performs tests of the hemostasis system using citrated whole blood.
- The test is performed using a test strip and adding a drop of blood to the well of the device.
- The analyzer is equipped with a heating element that heats the test strip to the required temperature.
- The test strip contains a rotating element with paddles that draws the sample into the reaction well after it is added to the sample well.
- The stirrer paddles rotate across the path of the infrared light beam and mix the liquid sample with the reagent that has been dried in the reaction well.
- During the clotting process, the clot is lifted by the stirrer, interrupting the path of the light beam that is recorded by the device.
- An internal timer measures the time elapsed between the start of the test and the formation of a clot.
- During the test, the clotting time (in sec.) is displayed. The prothrombin time result is also displayed as INR.
The analyzer is designed for in vitro monitoring.
